Heather Van Cura
, director of the Java Community Process
(JCP), will be visiting the BNY Mellon campuses in Pittsburgh and New York on June 19-20, respectively
. Her visit to BNY Mellon in New York will be advertised as a joint meeting
by us and the NYJavaSIG. Unfortunately, she will not
be visiting our individual user groups as I had originally thought. I realize the expense to travel out to NYC, but I hope you will consider coming out to New York on Thursday, June 20 to meet and greet Heather Van Cura. I will send an abstract of Heather's presentation in a separate email.
With this change, Barry and I have decided to hold our own Java Users Group meeting on Monday, June 17. More details will be coming in a separate e-mail.
The NYJavaSIG will hold their regular meeting on Monday, June 24 in conjunction with QCon New York
at the New York Marriott Marquis, Time Square. I will forward Frank Greco's email for details. An RSVP is required.
Sorry for the late notice on all of this, but a lot of planning was involved and I would like to thank Chandra Guntur for all his work planning Heather's visit the New York area!
