Company is seeking a Video Systems Engineer for shortterm to represent hem on some Broadcast and Technical Industry standards setting committees. The work will involve some important work/decisions coming up on these committees and company cannot afford not to have their opinion heard. Looking for someone with Video Systems/Architecture experience that spans Broadcast (Digital TV -- DTV) Cable (settup box and transmission) Video rocessing (MPEG) and Internet Streaming (H.protocols). Ideal person would have already participated on standards setting committees. This is a immediate need.

CBS Broadcasting is looking for an experienced C/Linux programmer with a Software development background to develop television station automation and control systems.

This position will participate in systems migration planning andexecution as well as design, code, and implement television station automation applications. Applicants should possess excellent analytical skills and a desire to work within a small group of individual contributors. Some travel required.

Minimum five years experience required along with a degree in computer science or related field. Qualified applicants will possess strong C/C++ expertise, solid Linux/Unix operating system, Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and Apache programming skills, demonstrated, verifiable experience in software and systems design, as well as the ability to create, execute, and support mission critical applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ability to interact with all levels of management. Experience in a Broadcast Television environment a plus.
