Announcing the Trenton Computer Festival Information Technology Professional Conference at The College of New Jersey, Ewing Township, NJ on Friday, April 25th, 2008 at 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with extended sessions on Saturday, April 25th, 2008 (http://princetonacm.acm.org/tcfpro).
The Trenton Computer Festival (TCF) is the nation's longest running personal computer show and it is being held at The College of New Jersey. For the third year, the Trenton Computer Festival is extending its program to provide Information Technology and computer professionals with an additional day of seminars. It is intended, in an economical way, to provide attendees with insight and information pertinent to their jobs, and to keep them informed of emerging technologies that could impact their work.
The talks include both technical and management topics. Technical topics include: Getting Groovy with Java, Ruby on Rails: Create a Web Interface to a Database in Minutes, Are we on the right track with Current , Internet Application Development Tools, Survey of Performance Analysis of Servers for Web Technologies, Microsoft's SharePoint Technologies, and Virtualization Paradise and Pitfalls.
IT Management topics include: Protecting Intellectual Property, Legal Issues on the Internet-A Brief Update, Open Source Legal Issues, The New Science of Leadership, How to Build, Maintain, and Motivate an IT Staff, and Data Governance at GMAC.
In addition, a facilitated networking session will be held at lunch.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to see and hear the Theremin, one of the most unusual pieces of electronic music technology at TCF2008. TCF has a science and technology focus but it also includes many arts and education computer/digital electronics related activities, a robotics design competition, computer games, shopping and socializing at the flea market and indoor exhibits and more. Hours on Saturday are 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. The flea market opens at 9 am both days. A two-day TCF admission pass is $12.50, if purchased in advance.
